This banana bread recipe was created by my maternal great-grandmother. It has been passed down for generations and continues to be a family favorite. It's easy to make, but always hits the spot!
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Cream the sugar and oil in the bowl of a stand mixer, then add the eggs and beat well
3. Mix baking soda, sour cream, salt, and vanilla, then add to the mixture
4. Mash the bananas well and then add to the rest of ingredients
5. Mix in the flour until just combined, making sure to not overmix, then add in the chocolate chips
6. Spread into greased loaf pan and bake for 1 hour
